An introduction by Don Galloway
Through several years of presenting seminars to support the Arthur Findlay College in Essex, I had many friends and acquaintances from home and abroad who felt the desire to attend such seminars but not under the label and credo of a particular Spiritualist organisation.
A group of friends assured me of their backing in the creation of something new, covering many aspects of spiritual and paranormal study but which did not take on a religious belief. Consequently, Lynwood Fellowship was formed to embrace people from all denominations - and those not holding to any one - in order that with their broader interests in the spirituality of life rather than straightforward religiosity they could come and meet with the like-minded of all stations and styles. Thereby giving new depth to their own lives through the building of new bridges of understanding.
Since our registered charity status came through in 1983, The Lynwood Fellowship has presented seminars at various venues, to the point where its many regular visitors/supporters came to call themselves "The Lynwood Family"
It has been deeply satisfying to see how many remarkable friendships, marriages and other relationships have been built through the Fellowship. Consequently people have told us that the Lynwood Fellowship did not have to have a great house of its own, since the "Family" it created was Lynwood and not any special building.
People of all age groups, lifestyles and backgrounds are always extended a warm and caring welcome to our events, and are never bound by pledging acceptance to any special belief system.
