The Lynwood Fellowship - Trustee

I feel very privileged to be part of an organisation that is diverse in its approach to investigating and studying matters spiritual and metaphysical. Being both a tutor and facilitator (and occasionally a candidate) brings richness to my life as well as hopefully being able to inspire others.

As one of the longest serving members of the Board of Trustees I look after the website and newsletter. Having trained as a commercial artist (BA HONS), my spiritual work developed around the use of colour and sound. This led to my work with the Crystal Sounding Bowls which are truly inspiring.

I am a certificated SPHA healer and enjoy every aspect of my work which is ever changing as I grow. Lynwood has something very special to offer.

Peter Hague

Treasurer

The Lynwood Fellowship - Trustee

Spiritual searching started for Peter after the passing of their 7 year old eldest son, Robert, in 1976. This soon led to attending Don Galloway’s weeks at Stanstead Hall.

After creation of The Lynwood Fellowship, Peter succeeded David Smith as Treasurer and later took over from Don Galloway, following Don’s ill health, as Chairman of Trustees, still filling both positions of service to Lynwood.

Carole Singer

I have been attending seminars for over 10 years after being introduced to The Lynwood Fellowship by a wonderful lady called Bridget Hicky.

Each time I have attended I have been amazed by not only speakers, the fellow trustees but the people attending, learning something new each time whilst making friends who understand and accept that I am like them so beautifully different.

Like so many people within spiritualism I have felt slightly lost at times in my life, not quite feeling like I have fitted in with everyone else. However it was only when I started attending services at my local Spiritualist Church did I realise why I felt so sensitive to people and situations. It was after the loss of our daughter that I really started to become more involved within spiritualism and wanted to know more.

I am passionate about spiritual healing and worked hard gaining my qualification as a SNU healing medium and now help to train our future healers.

I love to be able to share skills with people watching them bloom, not only in my work life but on the seminars arranged by Lynwood and feel very honoured to be asked to join them as a trustee.

The Lynwood Fellowship - Trustee

Spiritual searching started for Barbara after the passing of their 7 year old eldest son, Robert, in 1976. This soon led to attending Don Galloway’s weeks at Stanstead Hall, attending separate seminars from Peter as child-minding was shared.

Soon after Peter became Treasurer of Lynwood, Barbara was also invited to join the Board of Trustees and eventually succeeded Reta Pearson and Jeanne Coward as Booking Secretary.

Barbara and Peter have both trained as NFSH Spiritual Healers and have shared in the provision of healing at Lynwood seminars.

It took until my mid-forties before I started to ask, and actively seek, answers to the important questions in life.

Once started, it led me first into healing (NFSH) and later to the Lynwood Fellowship, where I found a forum for ideas, debate, learning and companionship. The organisation is aptly called a fellowship.

In my search I have experienced many different groups and societies but regard Lynwood as my base and home. I was therefore delighted to become a trustee. Having retired from teaching I can now devote more time into my investigations as regards the Truth, as well as with the Lynwood Fellowship.

Studied at Epsom School Of Art and Design (University of Surrey) and received a Dip/Ad in fine art.

Worked within the film and television industry including Shepperton Film studios and later at Thames Television in London, until moving to the Costa Blanca in Spain. After living in Spain for a while, I became interested in finding out more about the spiritual side of life and was inspired to visit The Arthur Finlay College in Essex where I was encouraged to develop my mediumship. Healing in particular. After successfully completing the required training in Spain and the UK I became an approved healer.

I continued my Spiritual work with “The Spiritual Awareness and Healing Fellowship” in Torrevieja. where I was encouraged, by Spirit, to cultivate and use other aspects of my mediumship, including trance healing and spiritually inspired art. Eventually – I was awarded the Healing Diploma of The Spiritualists National Union.

These days, I continue practicing from my home in Spain which is dedicated to healing and spiritual development. I like travelling and always look forward to meeting up with friends and fellow spiritual seekers in the UK who come together to enjoy the diverse and thought-provoking seminars organised by The Lynwood Fellowship. It is my privilege to serve as a trustee.

I feel very happy to be part of the Lynwood Fellowship after nearly 20 years on my spiritual journey.

I have worked in the care profession for most of my working life looking after the elderly and children with special needs both in the community and in residential organisations. This has allowed me to nurture my skills for really listening to a person’s needs, get into the core of what makes them tick, whatever their background and through genuine empathy, begin to gain their trust to enable me to help them.

For me it was important to study the field of Spiritualism before embarking on the path of helping others on their discovery and so I have done a number of skills workshops, training courses, qualifications and awards around the subject over many years. In addition, through practising in the field in groups as well as one to one sittings, I feel my knowledge and experience has continued to grow positively.

It’s my aim to promote modern spiritualism working in a forward-thinking way to build the spiritual community and bring a new and younger audience into the field.

My journey of spiritual unfoldment grew in pace in my later years. Life experiences have proven that there are forces yet to be explored that control events and coincidence. Our understanding of the energy of the realm beyond our own earthly existence is still only slight, with many years of work and research still facing us.

Through an education and career of science, technology and engineering, I strongly believe an exciting journey lies ahead to further explore the full concepts of mediumship, the communication with Spirit and the healing which can be channelled. Work of earlier pioneers has clearly located the tip, but below is an iceberg of precious spiritual mineral submerged in an unchartered ocean of energies.

Retirement provides to me the time and opportunity to dive deep. The Lynwood Fellowship is a ship to further explore these spiritual and metaphysical riches!

Don Galloway

Founder of The Lynwood Fellowship

The Lynwood Fellowship

Don Galloway, the founder of the Lynwood Fellowship, was very active during his lifetime, giving his services to other individuals and organisations.

However, he did find time to write a book and other articles, and made several small booklets, two of which are now presented on this website: “Sitting Around…” and “Comings and Goings”. The contents refer to a period of nearly half a century ago, or more, and therefore may seem a little dated in terms of the culture and society presented. However, their content in terms of mediumship and spiritual awareness remain as relevant today in the 21st century as at the actual time when the events occurred.

Those who desire to understand and seek to enlarge their knowledge will be rewarded by taking the time to read them, and by reflecting on the content.
